Beanie Sigel pleaded guilty today to failing to file income taxes for three years, and will be sentenced in November.
Sigel appeared in U.S. District Court to admit that from 2003 through 2005 he didn’t pay what the government says was some $348,000 on $1 million of taxable income.
Sigel, 37, said little during the hearing before U.S. District Court Judge Jan E. Dubois. His attorney, Fortunato Perri Jr., said he will contest the government’s calculation of taxes owed at Sigel’s sentencing hearing.
Sigel faces up to three years in jail. His guilty plea was expected, as he had previously waived indictment on the charges.
