Curren$y files a lawsuit — seeking to get $1.5 million dollars from Damon Dash.
According to TMZ, Curren$y claims he and Damon Dash tried to negotiate an agreement in 2010 to release projects under Dash’s label, but they failed to come to terms.
Both sides failed to negotiate an agreement — so, Curren$y went on to sign a label deal with Warner Bros.
In court documents, Curren$y says Dash ignored his deal with Warner Bros. and continued to release previously recorded music.
Curren$y is demanding Dame immediately stop releasing his music for profit, and is seeking $1.5 million in damages.
In response to the lawsuit, Dame is claiming, he has the right to release the albums in question because he was given permission.
