A Hamilton County jury reached a guilty verdict yesterday (Nov. 26) for Hosea Thomas, the man accused of shooting and killing rapper T.I.'s personal assistant.
Thomas was found guilty of murder, felonious assault and having weapons under a disability, according to Local 12 WKRC-TV news in Cincinnati. He was charged with shooting Philant Johnson to death in May of 2006, when T.I. was in town for a concert.
T.I. testified in court last week [click to read], stating that the shots fired at his van from another vehicle, following an altercation at an after-party, were meant for him.
A trial date for Thomas' brother, Padron Thomas, has not been set yet - though prosecutors say he was involved as well.
Hosea Thomas will be sentenced on December 23.
