Last night (Oct. 19, 2016), West went on a rant on his longtime friend Jay Z and spilled some insanely hot tea in the process. The rant began when West was set to perform his verse on the original version of Drake’s “Pop Style,” but before the song could begin, he decided to let fans know why the verse never made it to the final version.
“Let me tell yall something. There will never be a Watch the Throne 2,” he declared. “That’s the reason I wasn’t on this song, I wasn’t on the song cause of Hov. Cause of some TIDAL/Apple bullshit. And that shit be getting me tight every time I perform this mother fucker.”
West went on to explain that it wasn’t just a TIDAL/Apple beef that prevented the song from making it on the album, Jay Z was also concerned about remaining respectful to Meek Mill, who had a very public feud with Drake.

“I start freestyling to it. Jay thought of a couple of lines. I said, ‘Just go ahead, throw that on there. He’ll be so surprised, he probably won’t expect you to be on there.’” he explained. “We sent it back to him and he was like, ‘Oh shit, The Throne is on this shit.’ Then Jay thought about it, and out of respect to Meek Mill, he didn’t want to be on the track. I said, ‘We’ve got to squash this shit and let people have this song.’ But then it went into some political shit, some shit about percentages on songs.”
But West didn’t stop there. It seems as though Jay Z’s music decisions aren’t the only thing rubbing the Life of Pablo rapper the wrong way. West’s rant continued with him slamming Jay Z, someone he’s always considered as a brother, for never checking up on him after Kim Kardashian’s armed robbery. “Don’t call me, after the robbery, and say ‘how you feelin?’ You wanna know how I’m feelin? Come by the house.”
Concertgoers said that West allegedly confessed that Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy hasn’t spent any time with North or Saint West.
