LL Cool J HATES on Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail Marketing Strategy?

LL Cool J talks about Jay-Z’s marketing tactic which scored him a million records sold even before Magna Carta Holy Grail actual release.

LL kinda hates the new marketing strategy which finally got Jay-Z a membership into the “1 million records sold in the first week club” by saying, “I like to know that million people went out and bought my album, not that I sold a million records to a company… that’s different”

Do you agree with Uncle LL?

I am the one that gave Jay-Z the “genius marketing idea” for Magna Carta Holygrail.

    PROOF:

    1) After telling independent artist about the very technique, Jay used to market this album, since 2005, in 2008 I wrote a blog post titled… THE NEXT LEVEL OF MUSIC DISTRIBUTION-PT. 1. In this post I outlined exactly what Jay did five years after I wrote it. You can find the post at… http://www.hiphop-artists-bestfriend.com .

    2) On September 26,2012, I sent Jay-Z a tweet telling him to use the technique. You can read the tweet @theonlywillj.

Jay is still dope. But coming up with brilliant marketing ideas has never been his forte. All-of -a-sudden he’s a marketing genius after 17 years in?
