This is a black-eye for the popular Magic City nightclub in Atlanta — one person dead, another wounded in shooting in the parking lot.
One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting early Tuesday outside a southwest Atlanta adult entertainment club.
The shooting happened about 2:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Magic City on Forsyth Street, on the southern edge of downtown.
“We responded to the area in regards to shots fired,” Atlanta police Lt. Paul Guerrucci told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“It appears that multiple shots were fired,” Guerrucci said.
One man died at the scene, and another was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately available.
Investigators have not released a motive for the shooting, and no arrests have been made.
“At this time, we’re still working the crime scene, interviewing potential witnesses and trying to determine exactly what happened,” Guerrucci said about three hours after the shooting.
The names of the victims were not immediately available.
Forsyth Street just south of the Greyhound bus station was closed until about 6 a.m. while detectives investigated the shooting.
