Despite sour ending — losing to the Dallas Mavericks 122-86 in a Game 4 sweep, Phil Jackson walks away as the NBA’s finest coach. Phil talks about the thrill of trying to chase a 3-peat but falling short.
Ric Elias gave an excellent motivational speech at TED 2011. Ric Elias had a front-row seat on Flight 1549, the plane that crash-landed in New York’s Hudson River in January 2009. Listen closely and hopefully you can take something away from Ric Elias’ speech — 3 things I learned while my plane crashed.
Mavericks 122, Lakers 86: At the Buzzer — Phil Jackson failed to prepare his team for postseason. The Dallas Mavericks ended a dynasty by sweeping the Lakers 4-0 and advancing to the Western Conference Finals. Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom got ejected for ugly fouls in the fourth quarter of Game 4 of their Western Conference Semifinals defeat to the Mavs.
When it was all said and done — Jason Terry tied an NBA postseason record with nine 3-pointers and the Mavericks matched a league playoff mark with 20 3s on their way to a 122-86 victory over the Lakers on Sunday and a sweep of their second-round series against the most successful coach in NBA history and the two-time defending champions.
Amber Rose isn’t about to go to war with “Crimson Chin” aka Natalie Nunn. She took to her USTREAM to wish Natalie Nunn and all her enemies the best of luck! Amber didn’t address Natalie Nunn directly by her name, but we all know who she is talking about. Natalie Nunn has been very vocal name calling Amber Rose all types of horrible names on her USTREAM.
Arsonal loads up and send a diss record aimed at New Jersey’s own — Joe Budden! The Joe Budden diss track is called, Spring Cleanin‘. The internet is saying, “This is a LOT better than Canibus’ wack a$s song.” I thought Canibus diss song was okay. Joey has a line in Spring Training where he says, “You can’t afford the drama when ya Arsonal is a knife.” Maybe that subliminal… if it was a subliminal — rubbed Arsonal the wrong way.
Listen to Spring Cleanin’ (Joe Budden Diss) below:
Joe Budden responded to Arsonal on his Twitter page with the following message — view it after the jump!
The LA LAKERS have their back against the wall! The LA Lakers are down in their series against the Mavericks 0-3. Kobe Bryant and his Lakers must win the next four games straight or they will be eliminated from the 2010-2011 playoffs!
I personally would love to see Kobe do the unthinkable — win the next four games straight. There would be absolutely no denying his legacy (not that anyone could really deny his legacy now).
