Jay Z Wears 5% Nation Medallion

Jay Z’s recent wearing of the Universal Flag (of the Nation of Gods and Earths, also known as the Five Percenters) restarts the controversy on whether he’s a Five Percenters or not.

The medallion represents Knowledge of Self (as defined by the Nation of Gods and Earths, the 5 percent), which is clearly defined in the book Knowledge Of Self – A Collection Of Wisdom On Science Of Everything In Life.

Jay-Z wore the 5% Nation Medallion at the Barclay’s Center last week. When asked by a reporter whether the medallion is meaningful to him, Jay-Z shrugged and said ‘A little bit’. This isn’t the first time that the rapper has been connected to the Five-Percenters. He was photographed wearing another similar medallion while giving radio interviews for his album Magna Carta Holy Grail last summer. And in ‘Heaven’ a track on that album, Jay-Z references the Five-Percenters acronym for Allah by rapping ‘Arm leg leg arm head’.

It’s tough to understand why Jay Z is wearing the 5% Nation Medallion if he isn’t a true Five Percenter…

LeBron James Raps Over a Jay Z & Rick Ross Song!

LeBron James recorded a rap song called “Kingdom” over Jay Z and Miami’s very own Rick Ross’ “F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit.”

I just docked us off of France killa
Shots so bright I got a tan killa
Try to catch up it’s a waste of time (waste of time, waste of time)
I grind you hard let you take mine (never, never)
AP watch drop next month (month, month)
60 racks on ya bitch to stunt (stunt, stunt)
Fall back before you fall out
My team eating, the rest of y’all drought (drought, drought)
Say what you want about the king,
Got money, got cribs, got whips, and oh yeaaa (bleeped) got 2 rings (2 rings, 2 rings)
Cribs sick, tall like, Costco’s,
Gotta keep getting that Robert, DeNiro, don’t fear you
I understand you can’t compete bro, but you see here, is royalty,
You can’t beat me, ya better join me, over at six feet, underneath (underneath, underneath)
Where my crown Shi (where my crown Shi, where my crown Shi)

You can listen to the song below.

Jay Z Aims At Drake on “We Made It” Freestyle!

Jay Electronica and Jay Z rip apart the “We Made It” instrumental!

Jay Z gives a few bars to Drake during his verse — addressing comments Drake made in a Rolling Stone interview, which he said:

“It’s like Hov can’t drop bars these days without at least four art references,” Drake complained. “I would love to collect [art] at some point, but I think the whole rap/art world thing is getting kind of corny.”

Shockingly, Jay Z addressed Drake’s displeasure in his art references:

Sorry (Mrs.) Drizzy for so much art talk
Silly me, rappin’ ’bout sh-t that I really bought
While these rappers rap about guns that they ain’t shot
And a bunch of other silly sh-t that they ain’t got
