Toya made it clear K Michelle didn’t have evidence Memphitz ever abuse her. Now, K Michelle and the producers of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta is getting hit with a lawsuit from Memphitz!
Mickey “Memphitz” Wright, former boyfriend of R&B singer K. Michelle, has filed a lawsuit against producers behind “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and VH1.
In a report issued Tuesday, Wright claims VH1 knowingly provided a platform for K. Michelle to damage his name, reputation and business dealings. As a result, Wright is requesting to be compensated $1 per viewer per episode of the series.
While no exact dollar amount is given, that is quite a sum considering “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” was seen by over 5 million viewers every Monday night for around ten episodes.
“My family and I have suffered tremendously while VH-1, Monami Ent., and the other companies provided a worldwide platform for K. Michelle to repeatedly assassinate my character,” Wright said in a statement released by Its Only Entertainment. “The filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation and to deter these companies from doing such future harm to others.”
Wright has retained two attorneys for this case, claiming to have proof that Michelle’s story of him abusing her is false.
“Ms. Pate has taken full advantage of society’s tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof. The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin my client’s name,” Wright’s attorney Conti J. Moore, Esq. said Tuesday.
K Michelle claimed to be in possession of evidence but chose not to release it… this might be a good time.
